(My bro-in-law, Adie and my beautiful Sis - Feb.2003)

To my friends and my beloved girlfriends~
You have all touched my life in your own special way...
for that, you have made me a better person.
I am infintely blessed to be able to call you my friend. *HUGS*

This weekend has been pretty eventful. Yesterday Aric and I met up with one of Aric's old high school buddies for lunch. After running a bunch of errands in Costa Mesa/Newport area, Aric spent the afternoon washing both cars while I watched Ashlyn and finished working on my little project.
Last night my father-in-law came over and we had dinner at Oscar's with Aric's grandmother and relatives. I was battling the worst stomachache at dinner...the kind where I was actually incorporating breathing exercises from Lamaze (on the DL), and wanting very much to go home, curl up in a ball, and bite on a towel or something. hehehe
It was worse than going through intense labor. How I managed to get through dinner, with a semi-smile on my face, AND carry on a conversation is beyond me. Dude, I'm awesome! HAHAHAHA!

Today Aric, Ashlyn, and I went to IKEA to find Ashlyn a "big-girl" bed. I knew she was ready the minute I caught her attempting to climb out of her crib two weeks ago. Very dangerous!
I think Aric's going through a bit of separation-anxiety with the mere thought of her leaving our room. hehehe I'm sure Ashlyn will feel the same way, but I want both of them to get used to seeing it in the house before the actual transition. *wink*

We found one to our liking (The Brekke Bed). It's a full size twin with three handy drawers for storage. It's perfect...good size and quality for an incredible price! Although I'm sure the cost of a good mattress is easily double the price of the bed. *sigh*

Tonight we went to Taylor's 1st Birthday Bash at Il Fornaio in Irvine. I can't believe she's turning one already!!! =O James and Grace reserved a private room and invited about 60+ people for a evening of good food and festivities. James and Grace never ceases to amaze me with their generosity. All the guests took home more than they arrived with...plenty of food, duk, fruit, gifts, balloons, and favors for the kiddies.

It was so nice to see Brian, Grace, and lil' Brandon. It's been a long time since we last seen them. Lil' Brandon is not so little anymore. At 7 months, he's the same size as Taylor!

After dinner, we went over to James and Grace's for gift opening. We stayed till after midnight. *YAWN!* Pooped!

What a nice weekend! Hope you had a good one, too!
