Today Ashlyn and I met up with John at IKEA in Emeryville. I picked up some stuff for my parents, as well as a birthday gift. John and I had lunch at the cafe, and caught up with one another. It was really nice since I can't seem to remember the last time we did this. =D
After IKEA, we explored Bay Street Emeryville. *Whoa!*.... Emeryville's changed a lot in a short amount of time. I love it! It's not very often that I miss living in the Berkeley area, but I felt quite nostalgic today.
When Ashlyn and I left the house today, it was 90° out. I didn't think to bring a sweater for Ashlyn. I should have known better...the bay is at least 20° cooler (and windier). It gave me a good excuse to go shopping. hehehe I picked up a pullover for her from Baby Gap, along with some great deals in the clearance rack.
After walking the up and down the strip, we got a snack at Fuddruckers. Matty met up with us.
Tonight I hung out with Cin and Matty. It was cool....just like old times. We ordered pizza, watched a movie on TV, talked, and laughed. I'm going to miss their place in Albany...but at the same time, I'm really excited to see their new pad along the peninsula! =D
Ashlyn and I didn't get home until past midnight. *YAWN!*
