Another eventful day in the sun. Aric, Ashlyn and I spent the day with my father-in-law, Netty, and Patrick. We went to the Spectrum, had lunch, walked around, and took Ashlyn to the water fountain to splash around. Ashlyn absolutely loves playing in the fountains. Aric and I find it a nice alternative to the swimming pool...since Ashlyn's not quite ready to swim just yet (and the risk of drowning is next to nil). hehehe We had Ben & Jerry's and watched Babygirl having a blast. =D

Ashlyn's been so well behaved lately. It makes me so happy! She's trying to talk more and seems to understand more, too. She surprised me today by counting, "one, two, three!" *giddy* hehehe
After toweling Ashlyn off and changing her back into her clothes, we took her to ride on the carousel. For some odd reason, she didn't want to ride the horses today...she usually loves it, but she and Aric sat on one of those stationary benches instead.

At the pet shop, I was so tempted to get a puppy. There was the cutest lil' Beagle crying out for me to take him home. What also made it harder was the store employee who brought him out for us to hold and pet. But I finally came to my senses after hearing the price. Cute lil' Beagle pup costs $900! *gasp!* Uh, no thanks. It's a bit steep...and even if it wasn't, I don't think we can handle a puppy right now anyhow. Hmmm, maybe in a couple of years.

I finally got a massage today. I indulged in a 10 minute deep tissue massage by an accupressure-ist at the Spectrum. Though 10 minutes wasn't nearly as long as I hoped, it really helped in getting some knots out and curing my pounding headache. *whew!*

We got home around 7-ish, relaxed and watched "60 Minutes". Everyone was pretty pooped. Aric and my father-in-law dozed as Netty and I gave Ashlyn a bath. They left soon after.

Aric and I went back to the Spectrum for a late dinner with Ed, Sue, and Liv at The Cheesecake Factory. Aric and I weren't very hungry, so we split a salad and appetizers with Ed and Sue. Ashlyn had a long and exciting day, and fell asleep in my lap. So cute! =)

We got back by midnight. *YAWN!* Going to bed. Hope you had an awesome weekend! G'Nite!
