Petunias

After having the side and back yard landscaped, I was inspired to add to our front and back yard...so this morning, Aric, Ashlyn, and I got up early and went to Lowe's to pick up annuals (Vinca, Verbena Mix, Qwarf Asters, Dianthus Mix, Alyssum Mix, Petunias, and Double Impatiens), top soil, and bark ground cover. Afterwards, we had lunch at A&J's, shopped for groceries, then came home.

I spent the rest of the afternoon (and early evening) planting flowers while Aric and Ashlyn played and napped. The weather was just as hot as yesterday, and my shoulders and back got much sun despite the SPF-45. =P
After planting and watering, I added the bark for a nicely manicured appearance. Who knew I had such a green thumb? I was pretty impressed with myself. hehehehe Aric and Ashlyn joined me around 6pm to admire the yard.

Tonight was another quiet evening at home. I was so beat-down after being out in the sun doing manual labor. I took a quick shower and laid motionless on the couch as Aric made dinner. After dinner, we watched "Trading Spaces", then popped in "Die Another Day" on DVD. Ashlyn fell asleep sweetly on the beanbag beside me midway through the movie....we took her upstairs and tucked her into bed then continued the rest of the movie. The movie was really good...full of exciting action sequences. But for the life of me, I couldn't keep my eyes open toward the last 15 minutes! Don't you just hate that?! I missed most of the ending. =(

I'm going to bed relatively early for a Saturday night. It's 1am, and Aric's watching MTV's "Doggy Fizzle Televizzle" marathon. Snoop's hilarious! HAHAHAHA!
