Happy President's Day! Aric was one of the fortunate ones, and had today off! I'm so spoiled having him home for a long weekend! YAY! =)

We all got up late. Aric, Ashlyn, and I went to meet his family for lunch in Rowland Heights. It's been a while since I saw my in-laws. I think I see my parents more than I see my in-laws, and my in-laws live in close proximity. I guess that's always the case though...we think we'll see them tomorrow (and "tomorrow" turns into the next week, etc..). We should be better than to take that for granted. *tsk tsk*. Lunch was good. We ate with Aric's parents, both grandmothers, Patrick, and Patrick's friend, Greg.

Patrick and Greg are working really hard on finishing up their documentary. I can't wait to see it! The exciting thing is, they got Gabriel Byrne to narrate the film! I love Gabriel Bryne. He's such an accomplished actor (over 40 movies..most noted for The Usual Suspects). AWESOME! They're working with him tomorrow! I asked Pat to get a picture for me. *tee-hee* =)

While we were out, Sarah and Parkin had lunch at Oscars and caught a matinee of "Daredevil". We met back at the house around 4. We hung out, watched TV, and all napped a bit.

Because of the finale of "Joe Millionaire", we decided to grab an early dinner. We went to CPK at the Marketplace (because Parkin's never been there). We barely had a chance to look over the menu and our waitress kept hounding us. By the time we were ready, she was no where to be found. By the time we got our food, we didn't have much time to eat. We scarfed down our salads and pizza, and took the rest home.

"Joe Millionaire" was good. The media kept hyping up the "twist-ending". But I kinda knew what was going to happen. I enjoyed the interviews with the previous contestants. I'm so glad he picked Zora. Sarah didn't seem very sincere at all! Especially when Melissa came back to help Sarah pack and all the smack they were saying...*ugh!* just reaffirmed Evan's choice. I really hate girls like that. Fake. YUCK!
I think what I'm most diappointed about these shows (ie. "The Bachelor", "Joe Millionaire", etc..) is the lack of emotion expressed. Like when Evan told Zora he chose her, she smiled...and that was it! WHAT?!..No hug? No kiss? Where's the love?!
And I wasn't suprised to find out that Aaron and Helene (from "The Bachelor") already broke up, because when he proposed, she wasn't gushing. She was more like, "Cool...I won" and that was that. But I like Zora, so I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps she's just more conservative. *shrug* I dunno. I was happy to see HER asking for a kiss from him at the end though. =)
So just when I thought it was all over, next week is the reunion interview with Evan and Zora. Oooh, I gotta watch. hehehe

Hoped you guys enjoyed your long weekend!
