Regular baby by day....

"Super Chick" by night!

Aric and I had lunch at CPK...but Aric ended up eating all by himself. Ashlyn had one of those "explosive diapers" and I spent most of the time in the restroom cleaning her off. People think I'm joking when I say "explosive"...but I'm not. The last time my mom changed one of her "explosive diapers", Ashlyn was not done "doing her business" and shot her unsuspecting grandmother with yucky-stuff. It was pretty bad. *chuckle* Usually her poop comes out the back of her diaper, ruining her clothes, but today..it also oozed out one pant leg and onto me. I looked like I squirted mustard all over my shirt. *sigh* She definitely keeps us on our toes. Luckily for me, I pack extra outfits for her whenever we go out. From now on, I'll be sure to pack an extra outfit for myself.
After lunch, we decided to start on our Christmas shopping. Ed joined us, and we hit up the mall. Aside from little gifts for friends and Aric's co-workers, we mostly bought clothes and stuff for Ashlyn. Aric spoils her. He found a bunch of cute Halloween costumes (pictured above), and bought them for her. She'll have a different costume every year for the next five years! I joked that after next year, who is to say she'll even agree to wearing what we picked out? Just visualize:
Aric: "Ashlyn, this year, you can be the fuzzy green monster."
Ashlyn: "No!...I want to be a Princess!"

Aric: "But fuzzy green monster looks cool."
Ashlyn: "But I want to be a Princess."
Aric: *sigh* (driving to the costume shop for a Princess outfit).
HAHAHAHAHA! Yeah, I can totally see it.

Afterwards, Ed and Sue watched Ashlyn for a couple of hours, while Aric and I ran to the market and cooked dinner for all of us.

Woo-hoo! I almost forgot to share this exciting little tid-bit....Last night on our way back from visiting Aric's mom, we stopped off to get gas, and we got it for $.99 a gallon!!! Just thought I'd share that with my buddies up North (where the average cost for regular unleaded is $1.45 a gallon). I'm sure the price up there will start to go down, but seriously...99 cents?!?!?!?! I haven't seen prices like that since I was in the fourth or fifth grade! <---yeah, that's WAY back in the day!...no need for additional comments. =)
