China Trip-Day 11

Didn't do much today...slept in. Ashlyn and I had lunch at McDonalds, I had a filet-o-fish, and it was the best I've ever had! Today was our last day sitting in front of the "Welcome to Shanghai" sign. The weather was gloomy but warm. We didn't hang out there for long since I was afraid that it might start raining really hard again...and we were much too far from our hotel.

Once we got back to the room, I made sure everything was pretty much packed and put away. I watched TV, and took a nap with Ashlyn. Aric came back a little earlier than usual with Julie. We met up with Amy and another guy from the Taiwan office for dinner. We had more yummy Shangainese food, and some Sichuanese food (spicy!). We hung out with them most of the evening just chatting and eating.

Aric and I got back to the hotel close to 10pm, gave Ashlyn a bath, then packed everything away and went to bed. The company driver will be picking us up at 8am tomorrow. It's going to be a long day, and I feel like crap. My cold's gotten worst. *Bah!*
I can't believe this trip is over....it felt like we just checked in yesterday. I'm such a creature of habit. Once I get used to something, it's hard for me to see it change. *sigh*

We never got a call back about Ashlyn's commercial audition. Either they found a cuter baby or they couldn't shoot it in time. Regardless, it was an interesting experience. =) I told Amy and Julie to let me know if they see Ashlyn's picture on a can of formula. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if they used the picture they took of her. We didn't sign anything...but in Asia, violating people's privacy and/or disregarding permission is the least of their concerns.
