Today Wil, Tony, Ivy, Oli, Aric, Ashlyn and I grabbed lunch at The Yard House in the Irvine Spectrum...the place I wanted to take them for dinner had they stayed longer. We started with the Hawaiian Poke Stack, then the guys ordered sandwiches/burgers, while Ivy, Wil, and I shared an array of different dishes such as the Lobster Garlic Noodles, Ahi Crunchy Salad, New Zealand Calamari, and Korean Sweet Ribs. Their lunch menu is the same as their dinner menu (as is cost). The Yard House has delicious food and the largest selection of beers on tap. The only difference going during the day, compared to night, is the crowd...or lack thereof. During the day, it's quiet and empty...but at night, it's so packed you can barely get your foot in the door. Regardless, I go only for the food...it's incredible!

We walked around the Spectrum, window shopped, and enjoyed the warm weather before Wil, Tony, Oli, and Ivy had to leave to make their flight. This weekend went by too quickly! *pout* Nevertheless, I was really happy having them visit. We threw all the things we didn't get a chance to do into the "next time" pile. hehehe

My father-in-law and Netty came over and spent the entire afternoon with us...playing with Ashlyn and watching the Laker game. I tried to be a good hostess by sitting with them and making conversation, but I was pretty exhausted. By the time the Lakers tied-up at the end of over-time, I dozed off. Aric nudged me to see if I wanted to eat dinner with them. I don't know how long I was sleeping, not that my in-laws mind, but I was pretty embarrased. What was even more embarassing was that I fell asleep on my hand, so I sported a red mark on my face going to dinner. =P We ate at BJ's Pizzeria, then came home. I spent the rest of the evening being lazy on the couch. Aric was holed up in the computer room while I watched "Jamie Kennedy Experiement", "Off Centre", "The Practice", and an old rerun of "The X-Files".

Oh, check out this double celeb sighting...Ivy had told me that she and Oli had seen Val Kilmer on Friday, flying out of SFO. Then Ivy, Oli, Wil, and Tony saw him again flying out of LAX today! Wow...that Val Kilmer must be a busy guy! Either that or he just loves hanging out at airports. What are the odds?!

Hoped you had a great weekend!
